GENERAL:
Today's state of the art logistic systems very often use multipath crates (totes) in order to handle, store and commission their goods. For this application BM in Austria developed the 'CRATE MANIPULATOR
CM-6-2200'. This machine is able to stack and de-stack the crates (totes) fully automatically. The machine is designed to handle crates with the dimension of 600x400mm. Usually the crates are delivered to the machine on trolleys in stacks of a height of approx. 2m (other stacking heights on request). Further also crates with the dimension of 400x300mm can be processed easily. Additionally the CM-6-2200 is in the position to run a mix of both mentioned crate types without any changes or adjustments. This emphasises the high flexibility of this machine too.The most important part of the CM-6-2200 is the patented disc wheel, which has been developed by BM. This technology meets the requirement of an uninterrupted, smooth and soft operation during highest stacking and de-stacking speed.
Due to the low circumferential speed the gentlest motion during stacking and de-stacking is achieved and the manipulation rate up to 2.200 (resp. 4.400) crates/hour is infinitely variable.
The reliable stacking disc wheels are in use in several hundred of our enveloping and stacking machines world-wide and are giving a trouble free operation.
The CM-6-2200 is the ideal machine for the warehouse automation because of its compact design.
The big advantage of the machine is that it can be used as stacker and de-stacker without any change - simply by turning a switch or automatically by the software used. The main drive is controlled by a frequency converter. This allows the exact adjustment to the requested or existing conveyor speed.
Our experience and the know-how of BM guarantee a minimum of maintenance and long service intervals.
Very often the today's size of warehouses requires more than one crate manipulator. In such cases a BUS-System will support the control of all crate manipulators by one control unit only.
Optionally it is also possible to use a graphic display for easy process monitoring. The machine design itself allows an easy supervision. Furthermore the CM-6-2200 is very user-friendly in terms of servicing the machine.
In order to follow various safety regulations the machine alternatively can be equipped in front with Plexiglas or with security grids.
Options:
  • Paternoster:
    In the CM-6-2200 the crates will be released always in a definite height from the ground. Customers ware house design or due to different releasing heights required, we are pleased to offer our Paternoster-System. This system allows variable and customised crates releasing heights. Further also multiple outlets are possible. This will allow the warehouse management system to make already a pre-selection, in which direction or on which level the crates have to exit.
  • Turning-table:
    When crates with the length of 400mm need to be forwarded, a turning-table, located before the entrance of the CM-6-2200 will turn the crate stack for 90° before de-stacking.
  • Gravity roller table:
    If required gravity roller tables are optionally available.
Further models:
The importance of using Dollys during stacking and de-stacking is rising more and more. For this reason BM did develop the CM-3-2-2000. With this machine it is pos-sible to stack or de-stack direct onto or from the Dolly.
